Karma - one simplified explanation of this belief is that we create our own fate.  We are the recipient of the effects of our own actions. I like the phrase, "What comes around, goes around."  It sounds simple, but is in reality quite complex.  

There seems to be a reaction to every action.  As masters of our own fate, we are responsible for how we respond to life's challenges.  That response may determine how happy or unhappy our life was, is or may become.  Free will plays an important role.  

You hear about the male mid-life crisis all the time.  It conjures up a pictures of a slightly balding guy wearing gold chains driving around in a convertible.  Seems kind of cliche and almost funny.  However, it is not funny if this is your husband or lover.  His mid-life crisis may have quite the ripple effect.  The causes of this condition are many.  They could be physical in nature.  The changes in his body might make him slightly uncomfortable.   He could be a little depressed.  Perhaps he feels unappreciated and restless.

Mercury goes into retrograde starting June 26, 2013 and end July 20, 2013.  A retrograde occurs when a planet seems to move backwards from where we sit.  Mercury is our closest neighbor, so it goes into retrograde several times a year.  Of course, it is important to note that the retrograde starts to affect things for periods before and after the actual retrograde.  The effects of this retrograde may start to be felt as early as June 18th and extending itself through July 28th.  Long and torturous.
