The Spiritual Practice of Letting it Go

When you are going through a tough time, letting the issue go may be one of the most important things you can do for your spiritual health. Everyone has heard the song from Frozen, Let it Go. This really is such a positive message for all of us going through a tough situation.

For instance, in difficult relationships. If it is a friend who who is toxic to your life and energy, you can gently let them go by not being as available as you once were. This makes sure you can protect your energy. It also ensures the person is not co-dependent on you.

In a love relationship, you can easily see how someone feels about you by giving them freedom. If they come back, it is meant to be. If they leave, they could be doing you a blessing in disguise. You need a person who will make you a priority.

Let it go can also apply to other situations. In a work situation you can use it to prioritize what is really important by placing the top priorities on a list and letting the less important issues go. By focusing on the most important you can channel your energy into completing the big stuff and not sweating the small stuff.

When a person confronts you with something negative about you. Take a moment, let it go and move on! You don't need the negativity! Take time to appreciate the people who take time to love you and support you positively.

In letting it go, we can all make positive changes in our lives. Take the time and acknowledge the positive and let the negative go.
