I am very big on being able to take time out to nurture my soul. Everyone has different ways to make their self feel full, but I thought I would share some of mine. Lately, I have been into meditation and listening to New Age music. I use visualization techniques to help me meditate. I found a great audiobook that I would recommend to anyone trying to learn. It is Creative Visualization Meditations by Shakti Gawain is an excellent way to start visual meditation. Another author that I have been into lately is Deepak Chopra.

I am currently listening to Rahul Sharma in between booking appointments here in the office. If you can get your hands on any works by him, I think you will find it wonderful for relaxing and focusing positive energy.

Of course, sometimes you do not have the time to put in a CD or to meditate. In that case, I practice deep breathing. I will get into more on that later!

Hello Everyone!

Wow! I cannot believe that it is 2008. Unfortunately, Mercury goes into retrograde in Aquarius on January 28, 2008. When Mercury is in retrograde, everyone is introspective. We question our desires. Mercury retrograde in Aquarius makes people independent, insistent on freedom and against conventional behavior. People can be downright opinionated, and they won’t hesitate to try to impose their ideas on other people. There is a strong tendency to be critical of friends if they don’t agree with us. We all have to work at being kind. Let’s try real hard not to make each other crazy!

As usual, all areas of communication are affected during Mercury retrograde. We need to be careful regarding family communications, travel plans, electronic equipment, relationships, business and legal contracts. This period brings confusion of all kinds. Documents will be lost. Check everything and then check it again. Take notes. Write everything down.

Astrologically, as far as 2008 is concerned, practical matters seem to be at the forefront. If you or your love interest seems distracted, he/she/you are probably dealing with work or financial issues. Don’t be discouraged. This is the year we all have to remember to make time for romance, relationships, and ourselves. Do not go overboard while taking care of business. This tendency to put love on the back burner can ruin current relationships and end new ones before they start. Don’t just wait around for something to happen. Put love at the top of your list.

Some favorable days for making romantic connections are February 1, March 6 and March 10. There is a strong influence from Venus on those days that is favorable for establishing meaningful relationships. August 1 is another strong day for relationship growth. Be careful to be realistic and don’t force things.

While 2008 is a year of pragmatism, it does provide plenty of opportunity for special relationships. You just have to pay more attention to those around you in order to make something magic happen.
